美国联邦通讯委员会(FCC)主席Brendan Carr公开批评亚马逊，指责其一方面反对SpaceX提出的太空数据中心卫星计划，另一方面却未能如期完成自身卫星部署目标，显示其竞争策略存在矛盾。Carr在社交平台X发文称，亚马逊即将错过其卫星部署里程碑，预计将比既定目标少约1000颗卫星。争议起因于亚马逊日前向FCC提交请愿，要求监管机构驳回SpaceX的一项申请。该申请寻求批准发射最多100万颗低地球轨道卫星，计划打造一个太空数据中心网络，以支援人工智能相关算力需求。目前FCC尚未批准SpaceX的申请。不过Carr在接受媒体访问时表示，他不认为亚马逊的请愿会获得太多支持。
