Far East Gold (ASX:FEG) said it found high-grade gold mineralization at the Sua prospect within the Idenburg gold project in Indonesia, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The company said results included 10.29 grams per tonne gold over 1.65 meters from 17.1 meters to 18.75 meters and 2.12 g/t gold over 8.60 meters from 90.2 meters.
Far East Gold said it has engaged SMG Consultants to update the current inferred mineral resource estimate at Idenburg of 540,000 ounces of gold at 4.1 g/t.
The company said it is finalizing plans for the next stage of drilling at the Sua prospect, which will comprise about 2,350 metres of targeted drilling aimed at expanding the resource.
Mineralization remains open down dip and along strike to the northeast, highlighting potential for additional resource growth through continued drilling, the filing added.
