GS Holdings Unit Secures Distribution Rights for French Champagne Brand; Shares Up 7%

GS Holdings' (SGX:43A) arm, Octopus Distribution Networks, was appointed by Champagnes & Chateaux Export to exclusively distribute a range of Thienot-branded champagnes, according to a Thursday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Shares of the food and beverage company were up nearly 7% in Friday trading.
Under the agreement, Octopus will also be the authorized distributor of select wines offered by Champagnes & Chateaux.
The distributorship is confined to the Singapore market for a period of three years until Dec. 31, 2028.
