美国多家跨国石油企业高管近日在与美国政府官员会面时表示，霍尔木兹海峡航运持续受阻，可能导致国际油价进一步走高，给全球能源市场带来波动，令全球经济承压。美政府官员表示，“目前没有什么可做的”。
美国《华尔街日报》15日报道，美国政府此前举行一系列会议，能源部长赖特、内政部长伯格姆与多名石油企业高管会面，讨论当前局势对经济的影响。这些企业高管认为，能源市场受到局势紧张的影响，考虑到美国石油产量短期内不会显著增长，当前解决市场动荡的唯一方法就是推动霍尔木兹海峡恢复通行。
据报道，埃克森美孚首席执行官达伦·伍兹在会议中警告，市场波动可能导致油价继续升高，以及成品油出现供应短缺。另外，石油企业雪佛龙、康菲公司高管也在会议中表达了对当前供应中断的担忧。
报道援引一位未具名政府高级官员的话说，美国政府知道油价会继续上涨，但“目前没有什么可做的”。
雪佛龙首席执行官迈克·沃思此前表示，市场当前“充满波动和不确定性，难以预测”。
霍尔木兹海峡运输的原油约占全球石油运输总量的五分之一。作为全球液化天然气前三大出口国之一，卡塔尔液化天然气几乎全部通过霍尔木兹海峡外运，占全球供应份额约20%。
