春季出行旺季伊始，旅客已在机场忍受长时间等待
达美航空、美国航空、西南航空等主要航空公司的高管正敦促国会恢复对美国国土安全部的拨款，并通过法案，确保政府停摆期间空中交通管制员和机场安保人员能获得薪酬。
“航空旅行再次成为政府停摆中的政治皮球。” 高管们在周日发布于网络及《华盛顿邮报》的致国会公开信中写道。
当前政府部分停摆，已导致机场出现长时间排队，而此时正值繁忙的春季出行旺季。公开信称，美国航空公司预计今年春季旅客量将达到创纪录的1.71 亿人次。
国土安全部的资金已于 2 月中断。包括美国运输安全管理局（TSA）工作人员在内的数千名联邦雇员无薪工作，他们在上周五错过了第一笔工资。“这完全不可接受。”CEO 们写道，“没有薪酬，人们养家糊口、加油、支付房租将变得极为困难，甚至不可能。”
部分机场安检队伍异常漫长，已导致一些旅客误机，机场方面也提醒旅客做好数小时等待的准备。国土安全部上周在 X 平台表示，政府停摆开始以来，已有300 多名 TSA 工作人员辞职。
国土安全部拨款受阻，原因是民主党议员要求对美国移民与海关执法局（ICE）的行动增设新限制。上周民主党否决了一项为国土安全部提供资金的法案，而共和党此前也否决了一项只为国土安全部部分部门（包括 TSA，但不包括 ICE）拨款的提案。
这封公开信由美国六大航空公司及三家货运公司的最高管理者联合签署。
