BioMarin 制药公司周一宣布，在报告多例患者髋关节脱位事件后，将终止一款骨骼疾病疗法的中期临床试验，消息导致其股价下跌 4%。

• BioMarin 当时正在对其药物 Voxzogo 进行临床试验，用于治疗特纳综合征、SHOX 基因缺陷及聚集蛋白聚糖（ACAN）缺陷患者。这些均为罕见遗传疾病，会导致严重身材矮小，部分病例还伴随骨骼发育异常。
• 特纳综合征发生于女性，患者缺失部分或全部 X 染色体；SHOX 缺陷由生长相关基因缺失或异常引起；ACAN 缺陷则由对软骨结构至关重要的基因突变所致。
• 在中期试验期间，多名患者出现股骨头骨骺滑脱，即髋关节球部在骨骼仍在生长的部位从大腿骨处滑脱。
• BioMarin 表示，将继续在努南综合征患者（身体多部位正常发育停滞）及一类原因不明的身材矮小患者中测试该药物。
• 美国食品药品监督管理局（FDA）于 2021 年批准注射剂 Voxzogo 用于软骨发育不全（一种侏儒症）患者。
• 上月，FDA 批准了 Ascendis 制药公司的每周一次注射剂 Yuviwel，使其成为第二款在美国获批用于软骨发育不全的疗法。
