Shares of Virgin Australia Holdings (ASX:VGN) fell past 2% in recent trading on Monday after the company said in a Saturday statement that all Virgin Australia services operated by Qatar Airways were cancelled up to and including Tuesday, with some cancellations in place for Wednesday and Thursday.

The airline said that the services were impacted by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the closure of Qatari airspace.

The airline is offering those who no longer wish to travel free booking changes to the same destination, a travel credit, or a refund if they are booked on Virgin Australia's Doha services up to and including March 28.
