韩国政府周五表示，如果中东危机引发的全球燃料价格上涨推高电力成本，政府将考虑向弱势家庭提供额外的能源补贴券。若油价维持在高位，液化天然气供应受扰，韩国还准备提高核电与燃煤发电量。

　　产业通商资源部长官金正官周五表示：“政府将采取一切必要措施，将对民众的负担降到最低，包括稳定能源供需、管理价格，以及为易受能源成本上涨影响的群体提供支持。”韩国贸易协会的数据显示，韩国能源几乎全部依赖进口，约70%的石油和20%的液化天然气从中东地区采购。为降低对液化天然气的依赖，韩国气候与能源部本周宣布将加速重启正在维护中的核反应堆，其中两座机组预计最早将于3月恢复运行，另外四座将在5月中旬前恢复运行。该部还表示，如果出现液化天然气供应短缺，将在细颗粒物对空气质量影响较低的时段灵活增加燃煤发电量。为应对能源成本上涨，韩国自周五起对国内燃油价格实施价格上限。
