路透伦敦3月17日 - 伦敦上诉法院周二裁定，威士公司和万事达公司可以对认定它们向零售商收取的默认多边交换费违反竞争法的判决提出质疑，这是就该收费问题展开的一场旷日持久的法律战。
竞争上诉法庭去年裁定 (link)，在数百家商户提起的相关诉讼中，威士卡V.N和万事达卡MA.N的多边交换费违反了欧洲竞争法。
商户的律师此前表示，这是威士公司和万事达公司的商业卡和地区间多边交换费首次被认定违反竞争法。
但上诉法院周二批准了上诉，万事达卡和威士卡对这一裁决表示欢迎。
两家公司分别在声明中表示，交换费在数字支付生态系统中发挥着重要作用，为消费者、企业和银行带来了利益。
