Kpler数据则显示，在美国解除禁令后，印度炼油商迅速购入了俄罗斯乌拉尔原油和部分俄罗斯远东原油，预定于3月和4月到货。印度此前因为与美国的贸易谈判而在年初削减了俄罗斯石油进口，但随着霍尔木兹海峡危机的持续，印度已经快速转换策略。Kpler还指出，远东原油是一种轻质、低硫的俄罗斯原油，通常在装船前一个月进行交易。由于伊朗冲突，炼油商现在正在进一步提前交易，凸显出亚洲炼油商确保供应的紧迫性，以及人们对中东原油迅速恢复供应的预期削弱。
