智通财经APP讯，环球华商俱乐部(01757)发布公告，本公司已订立买卖协议以收购一家于英属处女群岛注册成立的公司(目标公司)已发行股本合共33%(收购事项)。目标公司全资拥有一家于香港注册成立的公司(持牌证券公司)，该公司获证券及期货事务监察委员会发牌，可从事第1类(证券交易)受规管活动。因此，于收购事项完成后，本集团已收购持牌证券公司33%间接股权。
董事局认为，收购事项为本集团探索金融服务业机遇的一项策略性举措，并可让本集团透过把握香港金融服务市场的潜在机遇，扩阔其收入基础。收购事项符合本集团提升营运表现、巩固财务状况及多元化发展业务组合的长期策略。本集团在继续专注于地基工程及建筑机器租赁的现有主要业务的同时，亦将采取审慎态度，在金融服务相关业务领域中探索及把握商机。
