Max Layton等分析师在报告中写道，未来4-6周石油供应受干扰规模可能达到1100万-1600万桶/日，低于此前认为经霍尔木兹海峡运输面临风险的约2000万桶/日的出口量。WTI油价三个月目标位为每桶104美元左右。
花旗表示，市场可能持续上涨，直至出现促使美国结束军事行动的价格水平或市场事件，和/或国际能源署或经合组织国家采取更有力的库存释放措施；或全球军事大国采取行动强行重开霍尔木兹海峡。
根据花旗的基线情境预测，布伦特原油到年底将跌至每桶70-80美元。
