菲律宾财政部长Frederick Go表示，若油价持续上涨，该国央行可能在下个月收紧货币政策。Frederick Go周二在接受采访时称：“若油价持续维持高位，货币政策委员会极有可能在下次会议上考虑收紧政策。” Go是菲律宾中央银行决策委员会成员，该行下次政策会议定于 4 月 23 日召开。加息将标志着菲律宾央行突然转向货币政策。该行在 2 月会议上刚刚下调 25 个基点的借贷成本，以支撑经济复苏。于去年 11 月就任的Frederick Go表示，若中东冲突为短期事件，其对国内生产总值（GDP）增长的影响 “将低于 10 个基点”，“但倘若冲突持续超过 6 个月，对我国 GDP 增长的影响将会更为显著。”
