路透3月18日 - 澳大利亚竞争监管机构周四表示，已对主要燃料供应商的反竞争行为指控展开调查，这些供应商包括Ampol ALD.AX、英国石油公司（BP）澳大利亚分公司、美孚石油公司澳大利亚分公司和非凡能源公司（Viva Energy）澳大利亚分公司。
澳大利亚竞争与消费者委员会称，它收到了有关为地区和农村地区服务的独立批发商和分销商柴油供应情况的报告，并将对被指控的行为进行评估。
此次调查正值中东冲突背景下消费者、企业和农民对燃料定价和供应问题的广泛关注之际。
Ampol 和 Viva Energy 没有立即回应路透的置评请求，而埃克森美孚澳大利亚公司则拒绝置评。
英国石油公司澳大利亚分公司的发言人表示，该公司 "承认ACCC对其市场行为的调查"，并补充说，该公司 "认真对待这些问题，并正在审查提出的申诉"。
