路透纽约3月20日 - 美联储负责监管事务的副主席鲍曼周五表示，美联储正在重新审视三年前硅谷银行倒闭事件中的问题。
“该事件实际上是监管失职和银行管理不当造成的，”鲍曼在福克斯商业频道《玛丽亚的早晨》节目中接受采访时说。“我们刚刚聘请了一家外部机构，对导致硅谷银行倒闭的所有事件进行审查，以确保今后不再重蹈覆辙，”她说。
硅谷银行（SVB）在 2023 年因存款迅速外流而突然倒闭，引发了银行业更广泛的动荡，期间还有数家银行相继倒闭。美联储此前曾就导致硅谷银行倒闭的原因进行内部审查，该审查由鲍曼的前任、联储理事巴尔牵头。审查结果显示，在该行快速扩张之后，监管不足，且监管人员在要求银行解决其问题方面行动迟缓。
作为美联储的最高银行监管官员，鲍曼正推动对银行监管体系进行一次全面改革，包括引入新的领导层，并计划削减华盛顿总部约 30% 的人员。鲍曼表示，监管人员需要将精力重新聚焦于银行的核心金融风险，认为当前的审查中过度关注流程性事项和非核心的银行政策。(完)
