素有“新美联储通讯社”之称的著名记者Nick Timiraos表示，这场中东战争很可能强化美联储将维持利率不变的共识预期。而更棘手的问题在于，官员们对未来数月之后的利率走向会发出何种信号。
Timiraos认为，本周的美联储决议将有三个关键看点：首先是政策声明。今年1月，少数官员曾试图鼓动删除暗示下次行动将是降息的声明措辞，但未获成功。若此次会议做出这一修改，将标志着首次明确承认宽松周期可能已经结束。其次是季度预测(包含利率点阵图)，19位与会官员将各自写下对未来几年通胀和利率走势的预期。第三是会后的新闻发布会，美联储主席鲍威尔可能会在会上放大或淡化上述前两项内容所释放的任何信号。
