德意志银行表示，日本可能要等到美元兑日元汇率“大幅突破160”才会出手购买日元进行干预。策略师Tim Baker写道，该行基于实际利率差、石油价格和标普500指数建立的美元兑日元模型显示，其合理价值约为154，现汇价格仅高估了3%，“日本决策者在考虑干预时所引用的过度反应标准看起来并没有那么极端”。他指出，此次上涨的速度仍远低于此前公布的标准，而且几乎没有大规模投机性建仓的迹象。资金回流的预期也缓和，最新月度数据显示，近期海外债券的抛售是由银行而非投资者进行的。
