Technology stocks were leaning lower premarket Friday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) down 0.6% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) declining by 0.1%.
Super Micro Computer (SMCI) shares were down more than 23% after the company said it placed two of its employees on administrative leave and terminated a contractor, effective immediately, after US prosecutors indicted all three individuals over allegedly conspiring to commit export-control violations.
