Who Votes on Interest Rates at the Fed? -- WSJ

Rates are set by a majority vote of the Fed's 12-person policy committee. It includes all seven Fed governors, the president of the New York Fed, and four of the other 11 regional reserve-bank presidents, whose seats rotate each January.

This year, the officials who are voting are:

-- Jerome Powell, chair of the Federal Reserve

-- John Williams, New York Fed president, FOMC vice chair

-- Michael Barr, Fed governor

-- Michelle Bowman, vice chair for supervision

-- Lisa Cook, Fed governor

-- Beth Hammack, Cleveland Fed president

-- Philip Jefferson, vice chair

-- Neel Kashkari, Minneapolis Fed president

-- Lorie Logan, Dallas Fed President

-- Stephen Miran, Fed governor

-- Anna Paulson, Philadelphia Fed President

-- Christopher Waller, Fed governor
