ChainCatcher 消息，代币化平台 Theo 宣布筹集 1 亿美元用于推出黄金支持的稳定币 thUSD。thUSD 与美元保持锚定，其储备由 Theo 于今年 1 月推出的黄金代币 thGOLD 构成。thGOLD 通过 Theo 与黄金零售商（如新加坡 Mustafa Gold）之间的有担保借贷协议提供背书，并本身亦可产生收益。
在收益来源方面，thUSD 将同时获取两类收益：一是来自 thGOLD 底层资产的收益；二是通过做空黄金期货合约获取的价差收益。Theo 首席投资官 Iggy Ioppe 表示，在有利市场条件下，该机制预计可实现年化约 10% 的收益率。
