1304 ET - ING Economics says that the average price for Brent crude oil could stay high, if the war in Iran drags on and hostilities escalate. Should the conflict get worse, then average Brent crude prices could be $120 a barrel in the second quarter of 2026. This is the most aggressive outlook from ING. For its base case, if logistic disruptions continue through the second quarter of the year, then average Brent crude prices could land around $91 a barrel. In its most optimistic outlook, ING says that if the logistics disruption resolves itself by May, then Brent crude could average around $85 in the second quarter. Brent crude is down 0.9% to around $102 a barrel. (kirk.maltais@wsj.com)
