Fed Was Pretty Balanced Around Dual Mandate Risks -- Market Talk

1709 ET - The central bank remained balanced regarding both risks to its mandate of price stability and maximum employment, says Patricia Zobel of Guggenheim Investments. "I didn't see a lean one way or another," she says. Regarding inflation remaining above target, Zobel says they want to make sure inflation expectations remain well anchored. "I don't think we see evidence of [expectations eroding] right now. She adds that inflation conditions now are much different than previous oil shocks in 2022.
