在兼职董事长阿塔努-查克拉博蒂（Atanu Chakraborty）辞职后，印度最大的私人银行，也是基准指数中权重最大的股票 HDFC Bank HDBK.NS 大幅下跌，加深了市场损失。
Nifty 50 指数下跌 2.44%，报 23，197.75 点；BSE Sensex 指数下跌 2.55%，报 74，750.92 点。
所有 16 个主要板块均下跌，其中金融板块指数下跌 3%，银行板块下跌 3.4%，受 HDFC Bank下跌 8.7% 的拖累。
继南帕尔斯天然气田遭到袭击后，伊朗周三袭击了中东地区的多个能源设施，标志着其与美国和以色列的战争出现重大升级。
美联储周三维持关键利率不变，并称伊朗战争带来的风险推动了能源价格的上涨，从而释放出鹰派基调。美国的高利率降低了印度等新兴市场对外国投资者的吸引力。
