消息面上，据报道，澳大利亚第二大产煤州新南威尔士州将禁止新建煤矿项目。州政府周四在一份声明中表示，将不会批准所谓的“绿地”煤矿项目，此举旨在削减排放并实现其净零目标。该禁令不会影响现有煤矿或其扩建项目。该州的主要煤矿企业包括嘉能可、兖煤澳大利亚和Whitehaven Coal。
国盛证券发布研报称，印尼减产奠定海外煤价上行基础；美伊冲突导致煤代油、煤代气需求激增，强化上行逻辑以及上涨斜率；随着霍尔木兹海峡持续封闭，部分国家柴油供应或陷入紧缺，其一方面将明显提高其矿上的吨煤燃料成本；但更重要在于或使得其矿山因柴油紧缺而被动减产、甚至停产，导致全球煤炭供应进一步收缩，加剧供需矛盾。
