美国国家航空航天局（NASA）新任局长贾里德·艾萨克曼周二表示，NASA将取消在月球轨道上部署空间站的计划，转而利用其组件在未来七年内在月球表面建造一个耗资200亿美元的基地。

　　艾萨克曼于去年12月宣誓就职，他是在NASA华盛顿总部举行的为期一天的活动开幕式上宣布这一消息的，会上他还概述了其对NASA旗舰月球项目“阿尔忒弥斯”（Artemis）进行的一系列改革。

　　“艾萨克曼在活动上对与会代表说：”我们将暂停目前形式的‘月球网关’（Gateway），并将重点放在支持在月球表面持续运行的基础设施上，大家对此应该不会感到惊讶。“

　　月球网关站主要是由承包商诺斯罗普·格鲁曼公司（Northrop Grumman）和Vantor公司（前Maxar公司）建造的，旨在成为一个停靠在月球轨道上的空间站。将该飞船重新用于月球表面基地并不简单。

　　艾萨克曼说：”尽管在硬件和进度方面存在一些实际挑战，但我们可以重新利用设备和国际合作伙伴的承诺来支持月面和其他计划目标。“

　　月球网关既是一个研究平台，也是一个中转站，宇航员将利用它登上月球着陆器，然后再降落到月球表面。

　　最近几周，艾萨克曼对美国旗舰登月计划所做的改变正在重塑阿耳特弥斯计划下价值数十亿美元的合同。
