日本最大的工会组织表示，其成员单位员工连续第三年实现了平均5%以上的加薪，这一进展可能促使日本央行在未来数月内继续加息。
据周一公布的初步统计数据显示，隶属于日本工会总联合会（Rengo）的各工会组织在与雇主的薪资谈判中，目前已争取到平均5.26%的加薪幅度。
虽然这一数字表明与过去几十年相比，工资增长趋势依然强劲，但略低于去年5.46%的初步数据。不过，基本工资涨幅平均为3.85%，与一年前的3.84%几乎持平。
工人要求总薪资增长5.94%。
随着更多企业报告结果，这些数据将进行数次修订，最终统计结果将于夏季公布。通常随着后期数据陆续公布，尤其是小型企业披露其结果时，平均值会有所下降。
持续的工资增长对于支撑消费、推动日本央行一直寻求的由需求驱动的价格上涨至关重要，而日本央行正致力于创造条件，以便通过加息继续推进政策正常化。日本工会总联合会最新公布的数据显示，工资增长水平基本与去年相当，这可能使日本央行在中东局势的不确定性消退后，考虑再次加息。
