快科技3月24日消息，据媒体报道，亚马逊在退出智能手机市场十多年后，正计划重返这一领域，推出一款代号为“Transformer”的新型手机。
早在2014年，亚马逊就推出了由创始人杰夫·贝索斯亲自监制的首款智能手机Fire Phone，但由于缺乏主流应用支持、3D显示功能耗电过高等问题，上市仅14个月便停产，并计提了1.7亿美元的未售库存减值。
时隔十余年，亚马逊准备再次进军智能手机市场。这一决策背后，是贝索斯长期以来希望打造一个无处不在的语音助理设备的愿景，类似于《星际迷航》中电脑的概念，意在与苹果、Google和三星等竞争对手展开较量。
这款新手机将以AI和语音为核心，尽管Alexa（亚马逊语音助理）将是主要功能之一，但未必会成为手机的主操作系统。亚马逊可能考虑与Android系统合作，并希望通过语音和AI互动，减少对传统应用商店的依赖。
值得注意的是，当前受存储芯片供应紧缺、价格飙升影响，整个智能手机市场的销量面临同比超10%的下滑压力，亚马逊此时重返这一赛道将面临更大挑战。该项目最终仍有可能因策略调整而被取消。
