Vintage Coffee And Beverages (BOM:538920) has begun commercial production of its brownfield expansion project, with effect from Monday, according to a same-day filing to the BSE.
The expansion, with a capacity of 4,500 metric tons per annum for soluble coffee, has been executed at one of the company's wholly-owned subsidiaries' instant coffee manufacturing facilities in the Nagar Kurnool district in Telangana, India.
With the commissioning of the additional capacity, the company's total installed production capacity has increased to 11,000 metric tons per annum from 6,500 metric tons.
With this expansion, the company's annual production capabilities have increased to 6,000 metric tons of spray-dried coffee and 5,000 metric tons of agglomerated coffee.
The company has also started work on a greenfield project for a freeze-dried instant coffee plant near Hyderabad, India, with an installed capacity of 5,500 metric tons per annum, which is expected to commence commercial production next year.
The company's shares were down over 1% in recent trade.
