Tourism Holdings (NZE:THL, ASX:THL) said Kate Meldrum has been appointed to the newly created role of group chief operating officer, according to a Monday Australia and New Zealand bourse filings.

Meldrum has more than 20 years of experience at Tourism Holdings, most recently as chief operating officer for North America since 2024, and previously as chief operating officer for Australia.

The company said it does not intend to backfill the North America chief operating officer role, with Anthony Kayaleh, currently vice president of US operations, appointed as chief operating officer for the USA.

The company's Kiwi shares fell almost 5% in recent Monday trade.
