Tivan (ASX:TVN) said the Speewah fluorite project in Western Australia was included in a joint fact sheet published by the the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan as well as the Office of the United States Trade Representativeas part of the "United States-Japan Action Plan For Critical Minerals Supply Chain Resilience," according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The fact sheet designates a list of strategic projects expected to contribute to the strengthening of Japan, US, and global supply chains and it was published by the governments of Japan and the US following a summit meeting between Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and US President Donald Trump in Washington DC on March 19.
Tivan is working on the project via a joint venture with Japan's Sumitomo and the Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security, an agency of the Japanese government.
