ChainCatcher 消息，韩国总统李在明于提名国际清算银行（BIS）货币经济局局长 Shin Hung-song 担任韩国央行行长。Shin Hung-song 曾于去年表示，韩元稳定币是“有效架空现有外汇管制的捷径”，可能为资本外流打开通道，并已于提名后立即卸任 BIS 职务。
此前李在明曾将韩元稳定币发行列为竞选核心议题，但韩国央行一直阻挡相关立法推进，韩国多家大型科技公司等待稳定币政策落地已数月。BIS 去年发布的报告指出，稳定币不具备稳定货币的功能，可能对金融稳定和货币主权构成风险。业内人士表示，Shin Hung-song 上任后对稳定币的立场将受到密切关注。
