Foodie Media (KLSE:FOODIE) acquired an 80% stake in WTM Media for 250,000 ringgit, according to a Tuesday Malaysian bourse filing.
Shares slid 3% in Wednesday's midday trade.
WTM Media, incorporated in December 2025, runs the digital media brand "What's The Meta" (WTM Today) focused on e-sports and gaming content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
The acquisition gives Foodie Media access to WTM Media's content production capabilities, brand recognition, and audience engagement, supporting its expansion into the high-growth e-sports and gaming segment.
The purchase was fully funded with internal cash and is not expected to materially affect Foodie Media's earnings.
