英特尔和AMD生产的中央处理器（CPU）供应紧张状况的恶化，给本已遭受内存芯片历史性短缺重创的PC（个人电脑）和服务器制造商雪上加霜。知情人士透露，惠普和戴尔等顶级PC制造商发现，从2月底开始，他们所需的CPU数量与实际可获得的数量之间就出现了明显的“缺口”，目前的情况比几个月前要糟糕得多。多位业内高管和经理表示，供应紧张已经导致服务器和PC的CPU等待时间延长，价格上涨，一些人预测未来几个月情况还会恶化。多位知情人士透露，今年CPU报价已经多次上涨，平均涨幅在10%到15%之间，有些甚至更高。英特尔和AMD近日分别告知客户，将从3月和4月起上调旗下所有系列CPU的价格。一位销售高管表示：“此前，CPU的平均交货周期约为一到两周，但现在等待时间已延长至平均八到十二周。”在某些情况下，CPU的等待时间甚至长达六个月。
