日本首相高市早苗周三在东京会见到访的国际能源署（IEA）署长法提赫·比罗尔，指出IEA应为必要时协调释放更多石油储备做好准备。

　　IEA在3月早些时候协调成员国从紧急石油储备中释放4亿桶石油，以帮助缓解中东战争造成的供应冲击和价格飙升。

　　比罗尔在回应高市的评论时表示，“如果形势需要IEA提供更多支持，我们随时准备提供帮助。我们仍然拥有大量库存。如有必要，我们做好采取行动的准备，但我非常希望这种情况不会发生。”

　　日本严重依赖中东原油，这使得该国很容易受到伊朗战争及霍尔木兹海峡关闭的冲击。日本将从3月26日起释放国家石油储备。
