UK watchdog probes $3.4 billion Suzano and Kimberly-Clark deal

March 27 (Reuters) - Britain's competition watchdog said on Friday it has opened a phase 1 investigation into a $3.4 billion joint venture between Brazilian pulp producer Suzano SUZB3.SA and consumer goods giant Kimberly-Clark KMB.O.

The Competition and Markets Authority $(CMA)$ has a May 28 deadline to announce a decision from its phase 1 investigation.
