Toyota Motor's (TM) China joint ventures with GAC Group and FAW Group will recall 560,160 locally produced vehicles starting next month, Reuters reported, citing China's regulator.

The report said the recall covers 317,990 Highlander SUVs and 242,170 Crown Kluger SUVs and is due to excessive force in the rear seat backrest adjuster, which can lead to improper locking and increase the risk of injury in a collision.
