Microsoft (MSFT)-backed OpenAI is lining up support for an artificial-intelligence startup that aims to build software allowing so-called AI agents to communicate and solve complex problems in certain industries, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.

The San Francisco company, Isara, expects to initially teach these AI agents how to work together to predict changes in geopolitics and the global economy, according to the WSJ.

The two founders -- Eddie Zhang and Henry Gasztowtt -- showed off an early version of the software at a conference earlier this year, demonstrating how Isara coordinated roughly 2,000 AI agents to forecast the price of gold, the news report said.

Microsoft and OpenAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
