航运界网消息，3月24日，长江和记实业有限公司（以下简称“长和”）旗下巴拿马港口公司（PPC）发布声明，就巴拿马当局于不当接管巴尔博亚港和克里斯托瓦尔港集装箱码头，并霸占巴拿马港口公司资产一个月后，扩大对巴拿马政府提出之国际仲裁索偿，相关索赔金额现已提升至超过20亿美元。
具体而言，巴拿马港口公司已于2026年3月24日向国际仲裁院提交补充数据，指出巴拿马政府在过去一个多月内持续采取极端行政手段，包括强行接管并占领巴拿马港口公司两个集装箱码头、扣押专有及受法律保护的文件，以及一系列相关不当行为，进一步显示巴拿马政府针对巴拿马港口公司已持续逾一年，并不断升级。巴拿马政府一再执意对抗，至今未就资产取用或补偿事宜予以协调，反而以不实言论针对巴拿马港口公司及其资产。
巴拿马港口公司指出，有关国际仲裁现正根据国际商会国际仲裁院规则进行。巴拿马政府一方面持续于当地采取行动针对巴拿马港口公司，另一方面却仍未于国际仲裁程序中提交其首次答辩。事实上，巴拿马政府曾明确表示尚未委聘法律顾问，并以此作为拖延的理由。如巴拿马港口公司早前所警告，巴拿马政府企图拖慢国际仲裁程序、将不属相关合约之第三方拉入本案件中，并且持续其攻击行动，营造寒蝉效应，威吓外国投资者。巴拿马港口公司就巴拿马政府提出之一切事项保留予以响应之权利。
