Geopacific Resources (ASX:GPR) has secured approval from Papua New Guinea's Conservation and Environment Protection Authority (CEPA) for minor amendments to its EP-L3 environment permit, enabling a 3.5 million tonnes per annum Woodlark Gold Project throughput and key infrastructure upgrades ahead of the definitive feasibility study, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The approval comes after CEPA's assessment under the Environment Act, which classified the changes as minor, and the company will now pursue corresponding amendments to its mining leases from the Papua New Guinea mineral resources authority to match the updated permit, the filing added.
