ChainCatcher 消息，非营利组织欧洲加密倡议组织（European Crypto Initiative，简称 EUCI）在 EthCC[9] 大会宣布正式更名为欧洲以太坊研究所（European Ethereum Institute，简称 EEI）。其表示，以太坊已成为欧洲数字经济的核心基础设施层，此次更名旨在与这一现实保持一致。
EEI 定位为欧洲数字未来的公共基础设施政策研究机构，将提供独立、基于证据的分析，探讨影响以太坊、其开发者和用户的监管问题，连接协议开发者、公民社会、企业与政策制定者，并将技术现实转化为可落地的政策建议。
