West African Resources (ASX:WAF) received notice that BlackRock Group and its subsidiaries became substantial holders of the company on Monday, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
BlackRock Group now owns 60.9 million shares in the company, representing a 5.33% total voting power, the filing said.
The company's shares rose around 6% in recent Wednesday trade.
