Amazon.com-backed (AMZN) Anthropic accidentally released some internal source code for its Claude Code artificial intelligence coding assistant, news outlets reported Tuesday, citing the startup.

"Earlier today, a Claude Code release included some internal source code. No sensitive customer data or credentials were involved or exposed," Business Insider reported, citing an Anthropic spokesperson.

"This was a release packaging issue caused by human error, not a security breach," the spokesperson reportedly added. "We're rolling out measures to prevent this from happening again."

Anthropic didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
