Perenti (ASX:PRN) appointed Vanessa Torres as chief executive, succeeding Mark Norwell, effective June 1, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
Torres most recently served as the chief operating officer at South32 (ASX:S32), per the filing.
Torres will join the company on April 13 and assume the role of CEO on June 1, while Norwell will continue with the company to provide transition support through June and into fiscal 2027, the filing added.
Perenti's shares rose around 5% in recent Wednesday trade, while South32's shares jumped 4%.
