ORIC Pharmaceuticals to Launch Phase 3 Trial of Prostate Cancer Drug Candidate, Shares Falter

ORIC Pharmaceuticals (ORIC) said Tuesday it has selected its drug candidate rinzimetostat for a Phase 3 trial in advanced prostate cancer.

The experimental drug will be evaluated in combination with the prostate cancer drug darolutamide for the treatment of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer who were previously treated with abiraterone.

The trial, expected to enroll around 600 patients from over 250 sites, is set to begin in the first half of 2026.

Shares fell more than 30% in recent after-hours trading.
