WAM Income Maximiser (ASX:WMX) surpassed its target income return in the first 12 months since its initial public offering, outperforming the benchmark by 6% and increasing 8.7% in the fiscal year to date, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Since its inception in April 2025 through to March 31, the investment portfolio increased 12%, per the filing.
WAM Income Maximiser Lead Portfolio Manager Matthew Haupt said the performance was "supported by contributions from all key levers of the portfolio, including asset allocation between debt and equity, active stock selection and shorter‑term tactical opportunities, with tactical positioning playing a more prominent role during periods of heightened market volatility."
