在甲骨文云基础设施（OCI）成为公司更重要组成部分之际，甲骨文聘请了希拉里·马克森担任新任首席财务官。RBC认为此举相当直接明了。随着OCI规模的扩大，公司需要能够处理该增长运营层面的领导力，尤其是在电力和算力持续受限的背景下。与此同时，道格·克林正转任一个更专注于市场运营的职位，这也反映了甲骨文当前集中精力的方向。
数据也支持这一点。甲骨文上一季度的云收入达到89亿美元，同比增长44%，略高于预期。总收入达到171.9亿美元，增长22%，同样超出预期。越来越多的增长来自云业务，云正逐渐成为公司的核心业务。
