智通财经APP获悉，据报道，Meta(META.US)正准备推出由Alexandr Wang主导开发的首批新型人工智能(AI)模型，并计划最终以开源许可的形式提供这些模型的多个版本。
消息人士透露，在正式发布新模型之前，Meta计划保留部分专有技术，并确保这些模型不会带来新的安全风险。
去年6月，Meta宣布向人工智能初创企业Scale AI投资143亿美元，并获得了其49%的股份。作为投资的一部分，Scale AI的联合创始人兼 CEO Alexandr Wang将加入Meta，负责其专注于通用人工智能(AGI)的“超级智能”团队。
据报道，由于上一代Llama 4系列模型已落后于对手，Meta推出这一新模型系列旨在帮助公司追赶竞争对手，并寄望未来的模型能引领行业。报道称，人工智能巨头OpenAI和Anthropic已暗示下一代模型即将推出。
据报道，Meta明白其新推出的模型在整体性能上可能无法与那些公司的新产品相竞争，但相信它会在某些方面具有吸引消费者的优势。
Wang曾表示，该公司的部分最新大模型仍将保持专有化。报道指出，这标志着Meta正朝着开源与闭源混合策略转变。
