Super Micro Computer Shares Rise After Launch of Gold Series Server Offering

Super Micro Computer (SMCI) shares rose 8.8% on Friday, a day after it launched the Gold Series enterprise server suite for artificial intelligence, storage, and edge workloads.

The new pre-configured offering comprises of more than 25 types of server systems and is ready to ship from company warehouses within three business days, according to a statement.

Pre-configuring facilitates cost-efficient pricing and shorter lead times compared with custom-built offerings, the company said.
