ChainCatcher 消息，据财新网刊文《金融创新还是内幕交易 Polymarket 的崛起与争议》，其中指出当内幕信息可以堂而皇之地变现，预测市场的边界已然模糊，这是不是披着金融外衣的“赌博”，甚至涉嫌内幕交易，然而无论赌博与否的法律争论结果如何，Polymarket 使用 USDC 稳定币进行结算和交割这一事实，对中国境内参与者而言本身就是一大法律风险。
此前，美国参议员默克利和克洛布彻已提出了《终止预测市场腐败法案》（End Prediction Market Corruption Act），禁止总统、副总统和国会议员在预测市场上交易，并要求其配偶和受抚养子女的预测市场交易行为纳入年度财务披露。
