葛兰素史克已于4月9日撤回了其叶酸类药物Wellcovorin（亚叶酸钙）的一项申请。该药物曾被特朗普政府及卫生与公众服务部部长小罗伯特·F·肯尼迪吹捧为自闭症的潜在治疗选择。

　　药品标签更新：获批用于罕见病，而非自闭症

　　上月，美国食品药品监督管理局批准了Wellcovorin标签的更新，允许该药物的仿制药版本用于治疗一种名为“脑叶酸缺乏症”的罕见遗传性神经系统疾病。该病会影响脑叶酸的转运，患者常表现出类似自闭症的症状。

　　然而，FDA明确表示，该批准不适用于自闭症的治疗。FDA局长马蒂·马卡里博士在声明中仅表示，该药物“可能使一些伴有自闭症特征的发育迟缓的FOLR1相关脑叶酸转运缺乏症患者受益”。

　　FDA官员：自闭症证据不足

　　据FDA高级官员透露，该机构目前没有足够的证据来确定亚叶酸钙对更广泛的自闭症患者的疗效。

　　这与去年9月白宫新闻发布会的宣传口径形成了鲜明对比。当时，卫生部长小肯尼迪称亚叶酸钙是一种“令人兴奋的疗法”，可能对自闭症儿童有益。

　　GSK的被动角色

　　据报道，GSK已撤回了相关申请。GSK首席执行官艾玛·沃姆斯利此前表示，公司是在回应FDA的“行政请求”，并强调“我们没有商业利益，没有科学研究，也没有在追求它”。FDA此次批准是基于对已发表病例报告和真实世界证据的系统审查，而非传统的临床试验。

　　据统计，脑叶酸缺乏症（FOLR1基因变异型）的发病率约为百万分之一。
